Two different things both called "Rio samba"
Visitors researching "Rio samba show" often aren't sure whether they mean a bookable evening performance like Ginga Tropical, or Rio's famous annual Carnival parade at the Sambadrome — the two are entirely different in scale, schedule and format.
Which one should you book?
If your trip doesn't line up with Carnival season (roughly February/March), a produced show like Ginga Tropical is the realistic, bookable way to see live samba and bateria drumming. If you're specifically travelling for Carnival, the Sambadrome parade is the separate, much larger event to look into on its own dedicated ticketing.
